Steve Slaton led the Toronto Argonauts with 52 yards on 12 carries and also led the team with six receptions, two that went for his first CFL touchdowns. In two games, he has rushed 16 times for 63 yards and caught nine passes for 106 yards and the two touchdowns.
Toronto is off this weekend, but returns to the field Tuesday night when they host Winnipeg. Injuries are depleting the Alouettes’ running backs and their first round pick may be out for the season. All signs point to Slaton seeing more playing time and touches.
